"While other music games simply buy the licenses for dozens of songs, in DJ Hero they're mixed, mashed, and cut together to create entirely unique tracks that aren't found anywhere else. We can't believe all the work that goes into creating these mixes. There is a crazy amount of detail to listen for, from scratches to effects to chopped vocals. DJ Hero 2 is fun to play, but we'd be perfectly happy just listening to it."

"DJ Hero 2 improves the series by adding some much needed multiplayer modes like actual DJ Battles for example. An addition that might seem minor but to me felt huge was the ability to finally be able to play against Lu, (since he is a god in music games) on a different difficulty level. The game also had probably the best track list in any music game this year. Ranging from pop stars like Lady GaGa to DeadMau5. Also, just like the first game, the mixes in the sequel are phenomenal. Marvin Gaye’s “Lets Get It On” mixed with Rihannas “Umbrella”? Outstanding. There is definitely something for everyone here. All in all we gave the edge to DJ Hero over Rockband due to the major improvement over the first and the tracklist being so damned enjoyable"
