D-Code aka Dee Dhanjal is a Producer, Remixer, DJ and Radio presenter based in East London. He has been active within the music industry for the last 5 years.
Radio 1 / 1Xtra / Asian Network
In February 2008, D-Code alongside his long time working partner Nerm acquired a 2 hour specialist dance music show on Thursday nights 2-4am. The show title is In New DJs We Trust and is a platform for Radio 1 to showcase the hottest up-and-coming DJ talent. They both presented, produced and co-ordinated every show.
Guests have included: Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys), Andy C, London Elektricity, Norman Jay, DJ Marky, Rusko, Foreign Beggars, John B, Subfocus, The Count (Herve) & Sinden, Filthy Dukes, Appleblim, DJ Blakey (UK DMC Champion).
Dee has also co-presented with, or covered for the following BBC presenters: Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Mary Anne Hobbs, Fabio & Grooverider, Bobby Friction & Nihal, Chrissy Chris (1Xtra), Nerm - Electro East on the Asian Network.
As well as being a presenter, Dee's music has been regularly appearing on play lists across the BBC networks for the last 4 years.
DJ Hero
For the last 3 years, Dee has been a core part of the remix and development team for DJ Hero. He has also featured as an artist in both editions of the game. In DJ Hero 1, Dee was the only featured Drum & Bass artist with his track "Annie's Horn" being remixed with DJ Shadow's "Six Days" Remix ft. Mos Def.
2010 saw Dee (as part of Shiva Soundsystem) win 'Best Alternative Act' at the Brit Asia TV Awards and be nominated for 'Best Alternative Act' at the UK Asian Music Awards. ;
