Hi, I’m Tom and I recently joined the FreeStyleGames team in the QA department. This isn’t my first role within a games company, but first time here at FSG (as the cool kids abbreviate it too). We’re working on SiNG at the moment that you may have seen at Nintendo’s E3 conference this year, which is going to be released on their brand new snazzy console, the Nintendo WiiU.

Already Feeling At Home
Whenever you work, the company always pushes their idea that the workplace has certain benefits, whether it’s discount on companies products, free food or drink or pens. Games studios make a variety of concessions, and no two companies are ever the same. But it’s mainly a question of flexibility – to arrive, eat lunch and wear what you need to get the work done. Still, this flexibility resonates through the office, offsetting the stress of the madder weeks, and some people – myself included – take full advantage.

So, how is it singing all day?
So, if you haven’t noticed, we’re making a singing & dancing game and yes, making one does involve a lot of singing and dancing in the office, it’s a basic requirement to play the game as you make it. You’d think it would be daunting having to spend all day having to sing in front of people; well it kinda is, or at least it was.

A First Day On The Job
So we’ve got a brand new site that’s had a complete redesign. Most of you are probably new here and maybe even new to FreeStyleGames in general (you must have *at* least heard of DJ Hero right?). Well I’m sort of in the same boat; I just recently started a new job here at the company. So in this first blog, I’ll be talking about my experiences and first impressions of what we get up too and rambles of sorts.
